Gum dentistry
Healthy gums are the foundation of a healthy smile. They support your teeth, protect the surrounding bone, and play an important role in your overall health.
Periodontal disease is one of the most common oral health conditions affecting adults, yet it often develops without noticeable symptoms until significant damage has occurred. Left untreated, gum disease can lead to gum recession, bone loss, loose teeth, and tooth loss. Research has also linked periodontal disease with systemic conditions such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
At Dental Wellness Arts, we provide comprehensive periodontal care that focuses on preventing, treating, and managing gum disease at every stage. From deep cleanings and maintenance therapy to advanced surgical procedures, our goal is to restore healthy gums, preserve your natural teeth, and support your long-term oral and overall health.

TMJ disorders affect the temporomandibular joint, the hinge connecting your jaw to your skull, and can cause chronic pain, clicking, headaches, ear symptoms, and difficulty chewing. Our evaluation includes a full assessment of your bite, jaw range of motion, muscle palpation, and joint sounds, supported by 3D cone beam imaging. Treatment may include custom occlusal splints, bite adjustment, or a coordinated rehabilitation plan depending on the severity and cause of your symptoms.
Chronic grinding wears down enamel, cracks teeth, and strains the jaw joints over time. Many patients grind at night without realizing it until significant damage has occurred. We diagnose bruxism through a thorough bite analysis and offer custom nightguards, occlusal adjustment, and in some cases bite rehabilitation to relieve pressure, protect your teeth, and address the root causes of the grinding pattern.
When your bite is even slightly off, the uneven forces can cause headaches, jaw pain, premature tooth wear, and contribute to TMJ problems. Occlusal adjustment is a precise reshaping of the biting surfaces of specific teeth to distribute force evenly and restore a balanced, comfortable bite. It is often a core component of both TMJ treatment and bite rehabilitation.
