Our Philosophy

What Is Holistic Dentistry?

Holistic dentistry, also known as biological dentistry or whole-body dentistry, is an approach to dental care that recognizes the connection between your oral health and your overall health.

Rather than treating teeth in isolation, holistic dentistry considers how dental conditions, materials, inflammation, bite alignment, airway health, nutrition, and lifestyle may influence the rest of your body.

At Dental Wellness Arts, we believe your mouth isn't separate from your health. It's an important part of it.

Whether you're experiencing chronic inflammation, replacing old dental work, or simply looking for a more natural approach to your dental care, our goal is to provide treatments that support your long-term wellness while preserving as much healthy tooth structure as possible.

Why Your Oral Health Matters

Your oral health affects much more than your smile.

Research continues to demonstrate connections between oral inflammation and overall health. While oral health isn't the sole cause of systemic conditions, maintaining a healthy mouth can play an important role in supporting your overall wellness.

Healthy gums and teeth may contribute to better:

Cardiovascular health
Diabetes management
Sleep quality
Immune function
Digestion
Overall quality of life

That's why we don't simply ask

"How do we fix this tooth?"

We ask

"What is your mouth trying to tell us about your overall health?"

What Makes Our Holistic Approach Different?

Personalized, Whole-Body Care

Every patient is unique.

Instead of recommending the same treatment for everyone, we take time to understand your medical history, lifestyle, health goals, and concerns before developing a personalized treatment plan.

Biocompatible Materials

Your body deserves materials designed to work with it, not against it.

Whenever appropriate, we use modern biocompatible materials for restorations such as fillings, crowns, and other treatments. These materials are selected to be durable, aesthetic, and compatible with your body's natural tissues while supporting a mercury-free approach to care.

Safe Mercury Filling Removal

Many patients come to us wanting to replace older amalgam (mercury-containing) fillings.

Because improper removal may increase mercury exposure, Dr. Boyajian follows established safety protocols designed to minimize exposure during the removal process for both patients and our dental team.

Once removed, these fillings can be replaced with modern, tooth-colored biocompatible restorations.

Prevention Before Problems

Our philosophy is simple.

The best dentistry is the dentistry you never need.

Using advanced diagnostics and comprehensive examinations, we focus on identifying concerns early, often before they become larger, more expensive problems.

Whenever possible, we recommend conservative, minimally invasive treatment that preserves your natural teeth.

Personalized, Whole-Body Care

We believe informed patients make healthier decisions.

That's why we take time to explain:

Your diagnosis

Treatment options

Nutritional considerations

Oral hygiene techniques

Lifestyle habits that support long-term oral health

Our goal isn't simply to perform dentistry. It's to help you understand how to care for your health for years to come.

Advanced Technology Supports Better Care

Holistic dentistry doesn't mean avoiding technology. In fact, we combine a whole-body philosophy with advanced dental technology to improve precision, comfort, and outcomes.

Our practice utilizes technologies such as:

3D Cone Beam Imaging (CBCT)

Digital X-rays with reduce dradiation

Intraoral Cameras

Laser Dentistry

Digital diagnostics

Biocompatible restorative
techniques

These tools help us diagnose concerns earlier, plan treatment more accurately, and provide minimally invasive care whenever possible.
